Western Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team in our Southern Region. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of consumer installations connected to our network.

About this role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that requires you to have extensive technical and electrical knowledge and skills. You will be responsible for undertaking complex inspection, investigation, and auditing activities to ensure compliance with Western Power's Inspection System Plan and regulatory obligations.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Current Electrical Workers License
  • Eligibility to be designated as an Inspector (Electrical)
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations (must be completed within 12 months of commencing position)
  • Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945 (must be obtained within 12 months of commencing position)
  • National Police Certificate
  • Min 6 to 8 year's demonstrated post-trade experience within the electrical industry, specifically in domestic, light & heavy industrial and commercial work.
  • Detailed working knowledge of AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements
  • Excellent external stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations, and procedures
