Quality Champion

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for championing quality across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain automated test infrastructure and frameworks that ensure high-quality products are delivered to users.

You will take ownership of testing solutions that proactively identify potential issues early in the development process. This includes collaborating with software engineers to implement automated solutions, designing and developing test infrastructure and frameworks, and mentoring junior testers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs and backend systems
  • Conducting API testing using tools such as Postman, Insomnia or K6, validating both functional and performance aspects of services
  • Collaborating with product managers, designers and other colleagues to enhance product design, testability and implementation strategies
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and streamlined workflows

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in test automation, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a solid understanding of API architectures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in test automation, with a focus on developing and maintaining reliable, scalable automated test frameworks
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of API architectures, including REST and gRPC, with expertise in testing and validating API requests and responses
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
