About the Role

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Fund Accountant to lead our Private Equity administration department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for all regulatory and statutory changes, and creating an end-to-end operating model for Private Equity activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership
    • Participate in senior client and relationship management meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Oversee and manage all processes related to recording of capital calls, distributions, valuations, and secondary purchases/sales.
    • Validate all activities related to transaction processing and carry out 'business as usual' tasks.
    • Lead operational change initiatives, incorporating client requirements, process reviews, and providing technical expertise on process re-engineering.
    • Deliver full-service solutions in line with client SLAs and internal KPIs.
    • Take charge of onboarding new clients, restructuring, product development, statutory, and regulatory changes.
    • Support overall service delivery through cross-team collaboration.
  • Client Service
    • Act as the primary point of contact for client queries related to Private Equity assets.
    • Participate in senior client meetings and serve as a technical escalation point for client issues or changes.
    • Ensure governance of Year-End financial reporting to meet specific client SLA terms.
    • Implement operational risk and legislative requirements in all output.
  • Commercial Focus
    • Analyze, innovate, develop, and implement change and process improvement.
    • Gain exposure to a broad range of investing strategies.
    • Maintain and monitor the Risk Control Framework for services provided to clients, including formal supervision, and working closely with Risk and Compliance, identifying potential risks and developing controls to mitigate them.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years' experience in Fund Accounting.
    • Experience within the alternative assets space, especially with GP services, is highly preferred.
    • Change management and process improvement capability, and the ability to create and implement solutions.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Competent strategic thinker with the ability to create and implement solutions.
    • Ability to foster and maintain strong interpersonal relationships both internally and externally.
    • Strong technical background in Fund Administration incorporating all aspects of valuation of Private Equity, unit pricing, tax, accounting, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
