About the Role


  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and trial balance for Urbex National.
  • Develop and update financial models and processes for all projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly accounts for business and joint venture reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management and board reports, highlighting key financial performance indicators.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and yearly budgets and cash flow forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation of all cash reports/schedules required by BMD Treasury.
  • Manage and monitor bank and loan accounts, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Implement and maintain property settlement registers for internal and joint venture projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and post property settlement journals as required, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assist with the half-yearly and yearly audit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as required, contributing to the overall success of Urbex National.

Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience within the property sector in a commercially focused role.
  • Possesses strong commercial judgment with high-level financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the business.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Commitment to a high work standard and work ethic, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Confidence in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including joint venture partners and auditors.
  • Bachelor's degree in business (Finance/Accounting) / Commerce / Property Economics is essential.
