Position Overview:
Visy Glass specializes in producing high-quality, sustainable glass packaging for renowned food and beverage brands globally. Our commitment to excellence ensures that we meet and exceed the expectations of our clients while promoting the use of glass packaging.
We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson to join our reliability team at the Visy Glass facility. This role is essential in maintaining the operational efficiency of our 24/7 production environment, with a focus on day shift hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Utilize data-driven approaches for decision-making.
- Provide technical support across the manufacturing site.
- Oversee the installation of both new and existing machinery.
- Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.
- Manage maintenance notifications through SAP.
- Enjoy competitive compensation at $45.58 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Mechanical Trade certificate; additional qualifications in hydraulics and pneumatics are advantageous.
- Extensive experience in an industrial setting, particularly in manufacturing with a strong background in fault diagnosis.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines, coupled with excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks with varying priorities to reduce downtime.
- Exhibit a positive attitude, a robust work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
