Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile projects in the civil construction industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective management of project teams, planning, managing and delivering contracted works in accordance with client requirements.

This role is accountable for successful project outcomes through leadership of the project team, program schedule, risk, safety, operations, and resources associated with project deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and oversight to project teams
  • Developing and implementing project plans and schedules
  • Coordinating and managing project resources and budgets
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

A strong understanding of civil engineering principles, reinforced concrete structures, and the ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications are essential.

Additionally, experience in coordinating labor, resources, and procurement, as well as negotiation and communication with clients and project personnel, is highly valued.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Industry recognised qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Experience in civil engineering and project management
  • Knowledge of the civil construction industry and current projects
  • Experience in a civil based business
  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience in coordinating labor, resources and procurement
  • Highly effective in negotiating and communicating with clients and project personnel
  • Experience contributing to tenders and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement the scheduled program of work
  • Highly effective in adhering to legislation and standards for performance, quality, cost and safety
