About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Officer to support our store's goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in loss prevention, security, and customer service, as well as a Certificate II in Security Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the achievement of the store's financial objectives by implementing effective shrinkage reduction strategies.
  • Educate retail team members on loss prevention principles, focusing on strategy, actions, results, and processes.
  • Maintain a visible Loss Prevention presence and utilize store technology, including CCTV and merchandise protection systems.
  • Conduct regular loss prevention checks and investigations, identifying trends and issues, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with local police and centre security to maintain professional relationships and ensure policy compliance.
  • Investigate loss prevention risks and incidents, including attending court as a witness when necessary.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Security License and First-aid Certificate.
  • Experience in loss prevention, security, and customer service, or a related field.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations or equivalent qualification.
  • Numeracy skills with an understanding of financials.
  • Understanding of Police procedures and protocols.
