Australian Distilling Co is seeking a highly skilled Retail Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our new Melbourne venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales to meet set targets and budgets while closely managing operational costs
  • Onboard, develop, and manage the team with hands-on leadership
  • Conduct engaging product training and tasting events
  • Actively promote our product range and positively represent our brand at all times
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
  • Manage and complete operational duties, including rostering, forecasting, inventory management, and reporting
  • Ensure the venue operates seamlessly, providing guests with an unforgettable experience
  • Work with the General Manager to set up best practice systems and processes for our venue
  • Ensure the venue meets all relevant compliance and legislative requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Retail Management experience
  • A proven track record of success in consistently exceeding sales targets
  • A high level of motivation and ability to think outside of the square
  • A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results
  • Focused, driven, and motivated
  • A desire to learn and embrace the 'lean' culture of the organisation
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong values, ensuring integrity in every decision and action
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Understanding of numbers
  • Critical thinking skills and a focus on solutions
