Exciting ICU Career Opportunity in Tropical Northern Queensland

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Intensivist to join our growing department at a regional hospital in tropical northern Queensland. This is an exceptional chance to work in a supportive ICU team with a diverse and engaging case mix, providing high-quality clinical care to patients from across the region.

The 17-bed adult and paediatric ICU at our hospital admits over 800 patients annually, including complex medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and obstetric cases. Our well-established team of 4 FTE ICU Consultants works closely with a full registrar and RMO roster, placing a strong emphasis on education, supervision, and exam preparation. The unit holds CICM accreditation (C6) for Foundation and Elective training, offering access to terms in Anaesthetics, Clinical Medicine (Cardiology), and Retrieval (by arrangement).

Key Requirements:
  • Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM)
  • SIMG deemed substantially comparable may be considered
