Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team, working on a variety of different scopes on a series of shutdowns, with Day Shift and Night Shift roles available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and servicing of various civil and workshop plant and machinery
- Conduct fault finding for breakdowns
- Maintain stock of hydraulic, mechanic, electronic, and pneumatic materials
- Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
- Complete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machinery
- Conduct marking and lining out
- Perform planning tasks as requested
Requirements
- Nationally recognised Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitter)
- 2+ years Industrial experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Previous construction experience within the mining and resources sector (preferable)
- High Risk work licence with EWP (WP) over 11 meters
- Valid Working at Heights (desirable)
- Spotter Training (desirable)
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card
- Previous BHP Project experience highly regarded
