Senior Casualty Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our Major Accounts Practice team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing complex risks for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and grow the Casualty book, with a focus on renewal retention and new business generation.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing objectives and action plans to achieve agreed production targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key producers, clients, and industry groups to increase market share.
- Work collaboratively with the Casualty Management, Client and Broker Engagement team, and other Profit Centres to grow the portfolio of our business.
- Identify new business prospects and targets, and assist in the development of client relationships.
- Ensure the maintenance of solid working relationships with assigned brokers, and identify business opportunities for other profit centres to support our cross-marketing strategy.
- Influence the development of liability products across the team, and liaise with administration staff, actuarial, legal, claims, finance, and accounting teams to ensure awareness of underwriting and business activities.
- Proven experience in Casualty Underwriting across a broad range of products, including Primary Casualty and Excess/Umbrella.
- Entrepreneurial and solution-based approach to Underwriting, with a high degree of technical skill.
- Proven working relationship with key Broking partners, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence people.
- Excellent relationship management and strong interpersonal skills.
