Job Title: Executive Chef Assistant

Job Description:

We value simplicity and purity in our culinary approach, resulting in authentic flavors derived from the finest produce and traditional cooking techniques.

As an integral member of our kitchen team, you will work closely with senior chefs to ensure seamless operation of assigned sections during breakfast hours.

You are responsible for organizing your section, ensuring efficient and productive workflow. This includes monitoring daily food and product requirements, advising the supervisor accordingly, and assisting with training Commis Chefs and apprentices to achieve desired standards.

  • Organize your assigned section efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and advise on daily kitchen food and product requirements.
  • Assist in training Commis Chefs and apprentices to meet established standards.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within given timeframes.
  • Be familiar with other kitchens within the hotel to promote flexibility and productivity.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality cuisine.
  • Maintain adherence to current food health & hygiene (HACCP) regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold full working rights for Australia.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a 5-star environment.
  • Proven ability to train others effectively.
  • Demonstrate efficient time management and organization skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide culinary certificates upon application.
  • Flexible to work rotating rosters, including weeknights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Understanding and ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP regulations.
