About the Role

We're seeking a proven Engineering Manager to lead and support our team of Software Engineers & Testers. As a key member of our Engineering leadership team, you'll be responsible for guiding, inspiring, and empowering the team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Your expertise will help establish and enforce development and testing standards, driving efficiency and excellence. You'll optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and lead innovation initiatives, pushing our capabilities to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and management for a diverse team of Engineers & Testers
  • Define and enforce comprehensive development and testing standards and best practices to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Optimise and meticulously track engineering workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity across projects and initiatives.
  • Take charge of leading the technical components of various initiatives and projects, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with IT leaders to streamline technology maintenance, enhancements, and various delivery processes for maximum effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with development and testing activities to minimise potential disruptions.
  • Uphold operational excellence by focusing on systems reliability and performance, implementing measures to ensure continuous improvement.

Your strong interpersonal and communication skills are paramount, enabling seamless collaboration and fostering a cohesive team environment. We're looking for someone who's proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with software engineering and testing demonstrates their unwavering commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience leading and managing software engineering and testing functions.
  • Proven track record of successfully mentoring and developing high-performance teams.
  • Mastery of modern software engineering and testing standards, methodologies, and tooling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration.
  • Adept at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT software engineering and testing.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and adept problem-solving abilities.
