Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson for a Permanent Full-Time role. This position is based at our Albany Depot.

Role Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Tradesperson, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing repairs, servicing, and maintenance on Western Power's heavy vehicles and mobile plant to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Conducting both planned and emergency maintenance, including inspections and complex fault diagnosis.
  • Modifying equipment according to project specifications and engineering designs.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Mechanic.
  • Trade qualification (AQF3) in Heavy Duty Mechanical applications.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems and low voltage electrical components.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration within a high-performing team.
  • Valid WA 'C' class driver's license (essential).
  • Desirable qualifications include a WA 'HR' Driver's License, High Risk licenses for EWP, Dogging, and Forklift, as well as a Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate for HVW and LVW.
