HVAC Control Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Control Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems programming, automated building solutions, and network configuration.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainable and innovative solutions across Building Management System platforms.
  • Collaborate with clients to recommend upgrades, integration, and building efficiency.
  • Produce accurate and automated reports for data mining purposes.
  • Program and schedule points to meet client requirements.
  • Coding and optimization of software, graphics, and functions.
  • Integrate BMS Controls and/or third-party systems using Lonworks, Bacnet, or Modbus.
  • On-site commissioning and programming of controls.
  • Configuration of controllers, databases, and networks.
  • Setup and configuration of workstations and servers.
  • Provide end-user training and support.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong communication and client liaison skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with trade teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability in reporting and travel requirements.
  • Proficiency in development, programming, and IT networking.
  • Knowledge of controller and network configuration.
  • Experience in workstation and server setup.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications and previous experience working with specifications.
  • Niagara certification and coding experience would be beneficial.
  • Background in HVAC and Central Plant or energy solutions environments.

  • Technical school graduate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Current QLD driver's license.
  • Understanding of WHS importance.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles.
  • High level of technical competence.
  • Interest in problem-solving and finding solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

  • Reliability, self-motivation, and presentation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Computer literacy, written skills, and numerical capabilities.
