Rural Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Physician to join our General Medicine team in Mount Isa.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
The successful candidate will provide expert leadership and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary leadership in General Medicine to drive service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care and support junior doctors in their professional growth.
- Hold a Fellowship with RACP in General Medicine or FACRRM / FRACGP-RG with AST/ARST in Adult Internal Medicine.
- Be a current AHPRA registered practitioner (or eligible).
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Share a commitment to excellence in clinical care and rural health outcomes.
- A highly competitive remuneration package up to $671,316 per annum.
- Base salary ranging from $8,062 to $10,221.70 per fortnight (L18–L27).
- Attraction & Retention Allowance (40–50% of base).
- Regional & Rural Allowance (15% of base).
- Motor Vehicle Allowance + Accommodation provided.
- Professional Development Allowance & Leave (3.6 weeks per year).
- Inaccessibility Allowance + Transfer & Appointment expenses (conditions apply).
- Five weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading.
