The Job
  • Feature development: You'll build out features on the app, collaborating closely with your squad to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Code review: You'll conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Mentorship: You'll mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and sharing best practices to help them grow professionally.
  • Collaboration: You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define product and technical roadmaps.
  • Optimisation: You'll optimise application performance, reducing latency and ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Testing: You'll write and maintain unit and end-to-end tests to ensure app reliability and robustness.
  • Continuous learning: You'll stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our app remains cutting-edge.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working on multiple iOS codebases with millions of regular users.
  • Experience in technical leadership roles, task breakdown, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with component-based UI development such as SwiftUI.
  • Strong understanding of iOS app architectures.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with widgets and watch apps is ideal.
  • Experience using CoreData or similar local data storage.
  • 4+ years experience as a professional software engineer, minimum 2 years Swift experience.
