As a vital member of our team, you'll contribute to making a difference in the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing Australians.
About The RoleWorking under the Translations Services direction, you'll develop Auslan translator content for internal and external clients, using translator production and editing skills to ensure high-standard Auslan videos, including captioning and voice over where necessary.
You'll work with Government and Not-for-Profits, as well as develop internal content creation.
We support staff with NAATI credentials and are committed to helping experienced translators achieve accreditation.
About YouIn your application, please highlight your key skills and experience, including:
- Fluency in Auslan, knowledge, and understanding of the Deaf community, its language, and culture.
- Ability to adjust language register to meet audience needs.
- Good understanding of English.
- Ability to analyze and understand English source text messages.
- Good presentation skills and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in team environments and independently.
- Experience in Auslan translations.
- NAATI Recognized Practicing Translator (English to Auslan) certification (or working towards).
