About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a Proposal Writer, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality proposal documentation that contributes to the overall success of our precontracts department and business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and understand tender response documentation to ensure accurate and effective proposal development.
  • Write and edit bid responses with a strong emphasis on writing construction methodologies, narratives, and management plans.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple bids simultaneously with strict deadlines, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with different bid teams through kick-off meetings, review meetings, and information gathering sessions to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Technical expertise with the ability to interpret drawings and construction concepts.
  • High level of reading, comprehension, and writing skills, with the ability to tailor style and language to appropriate internal or external audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate across hybrid teams, including virtual and face-to-face, remote, regional, and metro teams.
  • Self-organization and initiative to deliver on strict timelines, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
Advantageous Qualifications
  • APMP certification.
  • Onsite or office-based Engineering, Mining, or Construction experience.
  • Previous experience in a proposal or technical writing role within the remedial maintenance, construction, and/or Defence industries.
