Job Overview

:

In this key leadership role, you will utilize advanced 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) skills to create intricate designs for complex civil and structural engineering projects such as earthwork, drainage, road construction, and foundation systems.

You will oversee the development of detailed work plans, ensuring accurate and high-quality deliverables from designers and drafters.

Your exceptional technical expertise will ensure that our civil and structural designs meet the highest standards of precision, accuracy, and compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead or administer the work of civil and structural designers and drafters, overseeing the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed CAD design models, and construction drawings.
  • Develop comprehensive designs for complete and complex civil and structural engineering systems with minimal supervision, resulting in detailed scale models and/or construction drawings.
  • Collaborate in constructing detailed scale models and ensure their accuracy.
  • Prepare or assist with material requisitions and bid evaluations as assigned.
  • Conduct thorough checks on work to ensure compliance with approved civil and structural design standards, guaranteeing quality design, reliable plant operation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and other tasks as designated.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering practices is beneficial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in design and drafting, along with proven leadership skills and knowledge of directing personnel.
  • Familiarity with both structural steel and concrete foundation design and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of design and drafting techniques, including reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
