Early Intervention Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Early Intervention Therapist to join our team in Strathpine. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention and therapy services to support children and families in maximising their independence and participation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Standardised Assessments: Conduct standardised clinical assessments to determine goals and areas of need for clients and families.
  • Provide Support and Education: Provide information, education, and support to clients and families on various topics related to early intervention and therapy.
  • Develop Functional Goals: Develop functional, routine-based goals with clients and families that promote independence and participation.
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapy interventions and resources to support clients and families.
  • Review Progress: Review progress and set new priorities in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Support Inclusion: Support inclusion and participation in community activities that promote independence and socialisation.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication and support.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Focus on continuous improvement through regular evaluation and review of services provided.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current registration with AHPRA.
  • Passion for Making a Difference: Have a genuine passion for making therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for families.
  • Counselling Skills: Possess the ability to provide counselling and offer knowledge of therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and parents.
  • Experience: Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments is highly desirable.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with necessary checks and certifications, including AHPRA registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 vaccination certificate or exemption, First Aid Training, and possession of a Driver's License and Vehicle.
