We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our oncology unit at Prospero Health & Social Care in Lower North Sydney, NSW.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate nurse to lead and sustain high standards of clinical practice in our dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

As a Cancer Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, as well as developing and implementing quality initiatives and practice improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and promote evidence-based nursing practices within your team.
  • Act as a clinical expert and mentor, facilitating professional development among staff.
  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs, ensuring individualized and high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement quality initiatives and practice improvements, contributing to our commitment to excellence.
  • Educate team members and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A valid registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in oncology nursing.
  • A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field (highly regarded).
  • Experience in team education and training.
  • A clear understanding of legislative requirements governing nursing practice.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement processes and their application in a healthcare setting.
