The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Technical training equivalent to Graduate Certificate level in Electronics & Communications
  • 3-5 years of experience in the SATCOM industry or similar
  • Previous customer service experience such as Field Technical Support
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Ability to deliver training
  • High attention to detail
  • Possession of, or the ability to qualify for, an Australian Defence security clearance (baseline minimum, NV1 preferred)
  • Holding a Construction Card
  • Work Safely at Heights & Confined Spaces tickets would be an advantage

The role involves:

  • Conducting efficient installation, commissioning and testing activities for SATCOM terminals
  • Providing level 1 & 2 technical support to customers in country and overseas
  • Delivering EM Solutions customer training packages
  • Conducting system level testing and satellite certification
  • Contributing to the design requirements and implementing ongoing innovations
