Company Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicle surfaces to a high standard, ensuring all maintenance and repairs are performed according to company policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean workshop environment.

Salary and Benefits

  • Estimated annual salary: $103,000 - $115,000 based on skills and experience
  • $37.31 to $41.96 per hour, depending on skills and experience
  • Attendance allowance of $32 paid daily
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Annual leave loading of 17.5%
  • Access to ongoing training and development, including Heavy Vehicle Brake courses
  • Weekly tool allowance provided
  • Opportunity to work with a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies
  • Chance to upgrade from a car licence to MR licence, with the cost covered by the company

Job Description

The Master Automotive Refinisher will be responsible for:

  1. Preparation and cleaning of vehicle surfaces prior to paint application
  2. Repairing and replacing damaged panels
  3. Maintaining spray-painting equipment and tools
  4. Providing body structural, accident damage, and associated repairs, services, and maintenance to vehicles as required
  5. Manufacturing, servicing, and fitting vehicle components constructed from various materials
  6. Demonstrating and maintaining clean workshop practices
  7. Ensuring adherence to company policies and Workplace Health and Safety regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant trade qualifications essential
  • Sound level and demonstrated skills in a spray-painting role
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
  • Ability to differentiate between colours and balance layering colours
