About the project

We're currently working on GCLR3, extending the light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads. The project includes eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades.

About the role

You'll coordinate and direct workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the project is completed efficiently and safely.

Your key focus will be on effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.

Responsibilities include:
  • Strategic planning and implementation to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Enforcement of safety regulations and building codes, with regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
  • Maintenance of accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures.
  • Effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Identification and addressing of issues or problems arising during the construction process.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
  • Resource management, including labour, materials, and equipment.
To succeed in this key role, you must have:
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects in Australia, focusing on electrical systems.
  • Advantageous experience working for a tier one contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor, managing multiple subcontractors and direct employees.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Able to work and integrate into a team.
  • Strong focus on health and safety.
