Wellbeing Lead Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellbeing Lead Counsellor to join our Behaviour and Specialist Programs Team. As a key member of our team, you will deliver high-level therapeutic case management, consultation to school teams, and work proactively in supporting learning and teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Work within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model to provide targeted interventions and support to students with complex and challenging behaviours.
- Respond to referrals from school counsellor colleagues and manage a caseload of varying degrees of complexity.
- Collaborate with schools and other professionals to support them in meeting the needs of students presenting with complex and challenging behaviours.
- Engage and work intensively with families to support their child and strengthen home-school partnerships across different schools.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to enhance student support and develop effective risk management plans.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people, as well as experience in complex case management, counselling families, and cognitive, emotional, and behavioural assessment.
You will also have a minimum of three years' experience as a registered Psychologist or Social Worker and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
