Job Description

The primary role of a Casual Educator is to contribute to the education program in the room and centre team. This involves engaging and supervising children at all times, maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members, building and maintaining strong relationships with children and families, complying with National Quality Standards and policies, and supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in the education program and contribute to centre initiatives
  • Supervise children during activities and provide guidance as needed
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and team members
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Meet required standards and comply with Goodstart policies
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma qualified early childhood educator
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Ability to work flexible hours between 6:30am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Willingness to travel between local services
