Job Title: Operations Manager

The Canberra Visitors Centre seeks a dynamic Operations Manager to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee retail sales activities, including merchandising and high-quality presentation of the retail offering.
  • Supervise a team responsible for visitor information services, including rostering and staff development.
  • Ensure accurate financial records and invoicing in a timely manner.
  • Manage reconciliation of counter and reservation sales.
  • Pursue and convert commercial partnerships associated with the role.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
  • Proven team management experience, including staff and volunteer management and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of the tourism industry.
  • Current drivers' licence and First Aid Certificate.

Eligibility/Requirements:

  • Ability to perform after hours or weekend work may be required.

This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
