Job Description

This full-time role is based at our Sydney CBD head office, with hours to be worked between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. As a Senior Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the company's taxation compliance and advisory functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Preparing and lodging company tax returns, BAS, and FBT, ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation.
  • Tax Advisory: Advising on tax strategies and planning opportunities, conducting tax research and keeping abreast of changes in tax law.
  • Liaison with Authorities: Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies, assisting with tax audits and investigations.
  • Internal Support: Providing tax support to internal stakeholders and advising on tax implications of business decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CA/IPA registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within an Australian Accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, tax effect accounting and tax returns for SMEs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
