The Role

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining the Service M8 web app, platform, and microservices. As a key member of our team, you'll be directly involved in developing, maintaining, and innovating the Service M8 web app and supporting platform.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, design, and development team members to prototype, build, and test new versions of the Service M8 web app.
  • Provide constructive input into architectural decisions for new features.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain and continuously improve the Service M8 platform.
  • Identify shortcomings and opportunities in current technology and architecture and recommend solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to other developers.
  • Stay up to date with new and emerging web development technologies and identify opportunities to make use of these technologies.
  • Identify gaps in automated testing and implement solutions.
Requirements
  • A solid understanding of CSS, semantic HTML, and core JavaScript concepts.
  • Excellent full-stack web development skills with experience in PHP 7+, CSS3, HTML5, MySQL, and JavaScript.
  • A strong JavaScript background with experience working with non-trivial Single Page Applications.
  • A strong background writing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Git and PHPUnit.
  • Experience with AWS or AWS Certification (AWS Certified Developer — 'Associate' or higher) to work with Cloud Formation, SNS/SQS, Dynamo DB/RDS/Aurora/Elastic Cache/Elastic Search, Lambda, ALB/EC2.
  • A demonstrated understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.
