Training and Safety Leadership Position

The Qantas Group is seeking a highly experienced leader to drive the success of our aircraft and simulator training and checking teams. As Head of Training & Checking, you will be responsible for leading our team in ensuring that we provide exceptionally well-trained pilots across our fleet, meeting high industry standards.
About the RoleThis full-time, permanent position is based in Perth and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the safety and efficiency of our operations. You will drive and deliver training, checking, and testing activities, working closely with the wider Qantas team to achieve strategic objectives.
You will have extensive knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulatory framework and the ability to drive and manage change within a multi-function environment. Proven leadership and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively motivate and engage a diverse range of people.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a range of different projects and competing priorities, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You will also work closely with stakeholders to influence relevant decisions and deliver strategic objectives for Network Aviation's Training and Checking Organisation.
About You- 10+ years operational line pilot experience operating in a High Capacity RPT and/or Charter operation
- Ability to satisfy CASA in accordance with CASA regulatory requirements for the Network AOC Head of Training and Checking
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and engage a diverse range of people
- Extensive knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulatory framework
- Ability to drive and manage change function within a multi-function environment with multiple stakeholders
