About the Role
  • This is a leadership role with real impact, requiring project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring every training product created is future-focused, nationally aligned, and responsive to evolving workforce needs.

The role involves leading complex, end-to-end projects and guiding a small team to deliver innovative, nationally consistent training products that shape the future of Australia's mining and automotive sectors. You'll be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Project leadership: Lead multiple nationally accredited vocational education and training product development from design through delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build relationships with industry leaders, Registered Training Organisation (RTOs), unions, regulators, and government stakeholders; use feedback to continuously refine products.
  • Governance & documentation: Prepare proposals, briefs, and updates for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Sector leadership: Collaborate with other Jobs & Skills Councils and represent at national forums to progress shared outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management and leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with vocational education and training sector.
