Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Implementation Lead to join our team at Spokane Public Schools.

Role Overview

This is a full-time position responsible for leading and managing strategic technology initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with executive leadership to drive large-scale projects and programs that align with the organization's strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and monitor complex, large-scale technology projects in alignment with organizational values and the District's strategic roadmap and initiatives following an agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with district leaders to develop the vision and strategy for large-scale initiatives, developing options and recommendations based on feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Track program milestones and provide ongoing updates to the project team, gathering quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness throughout the lifecycle of the project to inform course corrections.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate project challenges to avoid delays.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to inform program deliverables.
  • Partner with other departments to develop comprehensive communications strategies to ensure broad awareness and buy-in.
  • Lead change management efforts to facilitate project implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP or CAPM training/certification required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years managing and/or supporting complex projects, including planning, estimating/budgeting, resource planning, risk assessment, expectation management, scope and issue management with complex business and IT projects.
  • Experience with DevOps principles and methodologies, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in system administration, including server management, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms a plus.
  • K-12 education project management experience preferred.
  • Ability to assess appropriate priorities and organize workload on multiple assignments.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office including MS365 products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Communicate diplomatically, persuasively, effective oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.
  • Ability to provide creative, solution-oriented support to complex situations.
  • Ability to perform Quality Assurance testing on all projects including reviewing, supporting troubleshooting, and training of developer code.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,617 - $144,022 per year.
