Job Title

The Assistant Director, Finance position is a key leadership role that oversees the finance function of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of initiative, integrity, and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the finance team to provide accurate and comprehensive financial management services.
  • Contribute to operational functions and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and quality assure high-quality written correspondence, briefings, reports, and communication materials for various audiences.
  • Analyse and synthesise information from internal and external sources to provide timely strategic advice.
  • Maintain internal and external relationships, collaborate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high volumes of work and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preparation of complex and/or sensitive correspondence, briefings, papers, reports, and other written artefacts.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of initiative, integrity, and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Able to work autonomously and commit to working harmoniously within a team.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary education and/or qualifications suitable to the role.
  • Preference to have or be working towards attaining a CPA and/or CA full membership.
  • Australian citizenship required.
  • Ability to maintain neutrality and impartiality.
