About the Role

Hofmann Engineering is a leading specialist heavy equipment manufacturer in Australia, serving customers across various industries including resource and mining, aerospace, transport, energy, and defence technology.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art machinery, including a recently commissioned Unisign Uniport 6000 high-speed gantry mill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to program and set up machines
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment, with a mix of production work and first-off setup and programming
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of machinery and equipment
Requirements
  • Appropriate trade certificates
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CNC machines and Siemens controllers
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
  • Positive attitude and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
