Maintenance Technician Role
Description of JobThe primary objective of this role is to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of various assets. This involves conducting regular assessments, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing corrective measures to prevent malfunctions.
This position requires a strong understanding of computerized systems, preferably asset management software. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations, maintenance, and renewals, particularly in water and wastewater treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities- Condition assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of assets to identify potential risks and issues.
- Maintenance planning: Develop and implement work plans to ensure efficient maintenance activities.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to asset performance and safety.
- Training and development: Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and asset management procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in operations, maintenance, and renewals, particularly in water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Strong understanding of computerized systems, preferably MAXIMO, maintenance, and process management systems.
We are looking for an individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
