Job Overview

Bravus Mining & Resources is seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning Engineer to join our team at the Carmichael Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and scheduling of medium-term operations, ensuring safe working conditions and maximising resource utilisation.

Main Accountabilities
  1. Design and schedule medium-term operations to achieve safe and efficient mining practices.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimise resource utilisation and reduce costs.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  5. Contribute to the preparation and development of the annual budget.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Over 5 years open cut mining engineering experience, with experience in terrace mining, drill and blast and truck shovel planning.
  • High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical understanding of geotechnical bulk materials handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and policies for Australian Coal Operations.
  • Proficiency in usage of mine and scheduling design tools – Vulcan and SPRY.
  • Engineering skills and applied experience with open cut project development, development of mine safety management plans.
