Electrical Technician (Traffic Signals)

This role is for an experienced Electrical Technician who specializes in the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) across various projects.

The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work at heights, and possess strong knowledge of wiring rules and Australian Standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Construction and reconstruction of traffic control assets including traffic signals, variable message signs, and hazard warning signs.
  • Installation and modification of new and existing traffic signals and ITS assets.
  • Conduct inspections and testing in line with Australian Standards.
  • Fault finding and rectification, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in QLD Traffic Signal and ITS industry.
  • Possession of a White Card and Electrical License.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
