We are currently seeking a Senior React Native Developer to enhance our Digital Team. In this senior role, you will be instrumental in guiding our Agile team through various projects. This position presents a thrilling opportunity to engage in the dynamic online sports betting landscape, work alongside skilled professionals, and contribute to the achievements of a leading market player.

The Digital Team is engaged in remarkable projects, ranging from the development of next-generation channels to the streaming of large-scale enterprise data. With ambitious growth targets, we are dedicated to pursuing our goals with a growth-oriented mindset, supporting one another along the way.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Contribute

  • Extensive experience in Agile methodologies, leading and advocating for Agile practices.
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Minimum of 10 years in software development.
  • At least 7 years of experience with modern Agile frameworks.
  • 5+ years of expertise in native app development for iOS, Android, and Mobile Web.
  • Advanced proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, and Typescript.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs and data transformation techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of state management in React Native applications.
  • Experience with design systems and a commitment to unit test coverage.
  • Relevant tertiary education or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to serve as the lead technical voice in discussions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and mentoring others.
  • Passion for the wagering industry and a commitment to enhancing Betfair's workplace.

Core Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to grasp the product vision and objectives.
  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies and enhancing the Agile maturity of the team.
  • Developing code to ensure functionality is delivered safely, reliably, and securely.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks and holding team members accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Promoting technical excellence, standards, and best practices.
  • Conducting thorough testing of your code prior to submitting Pull Requests (PR).
  • Maintaining technical quality standards and encouraging team adherence.
  • Adapting promptly to changes and thriving in high-pressure situations.
