Agricultural Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Associate to support the effective management of agricultural systems and resources in our school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our agricultural field study sites, animals, crops, machinery, and equipment to ensure they remain safe, functional, and secure.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will help deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that engage students in real-world agricultural practices.

• Prepare and maintain all agricultural field sites, including fencing.
• Carry out crop and soil improvement and enhancement activities.
• Operate and carry out general maintenance of various agricultural machinery, equipment and materials.
• Plant, water and care for crops and market gardens and carry out related duties including regular physical maintenance.
• Carry out animal husbandry duties.
• Assist and support the Agriculture Teacher with practical classes and activities.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a foundational understanding of agricultural practices and demonstrate basic skills relevant to the field. Strong communication skills are essential, allowing you to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively when needed.
