About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Ivory Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design process for specialist disability accommodation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process from concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets
  • Coordinate and manage external consultants, ensuring timely and quality delivery of design work
  • Oversee and manage the approvals process, ensuring compliance with NDIS and SDA regulations, including High Physical Support (HPS) and Fully Accessible (FA) standards
  • Review and mark design principles, providing feedback to ensure designs meet accessibility, functionality, and aesthetic goals
  • Act as the intermediary between acquisition and delivery teams, ensuring smooth project transitions
  • Problem-solve design challenges, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions that enhance tenant experience
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Architecture, Design Management, Planning, or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on disability or healthcare projects
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS and SDA requirements, with experience managing approvals and compliance processes
  • Demonstrated experience in consultant management and coordinating design teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive projects and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, with a strong understanding of accessibility and design principles
