Explosive Charging Expert

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gold Fields as a Charge Up Operator, responsible for charging development and production blasts, transporting, and handling explosives. As a key member of our underground team, you will maintain firing lines and carry out shot firing duties.

• Maintain a working knowledge of and commitment to all relevant task instructions and procedures.
• Achieve production targets through the diligent application of explosive blasting services.
• Correct auditing and housekeeping of all equipment.
• Assist in the provision of preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and organising the timely repair of operating equipment.
• Support the efficient operation of underground mining systems and processes.

• Vast proven experience in underground operations.
• Experience with emulsion use in blasting is preferred.
• Extensive record of safe underground mining practices.
• Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights Ticket required.
• Valid drivers' licence and Shot firer's licence essential.
