We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Scientist to join our team at NSW Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of person-centered services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focussed services to patients, clients, and clinicians.
  • Interpret request information, select the most appropriate protocol, and adapt imaging as necessary.
  • Work within a team, share the allocation of workloads according to skills and competencies, and participate in the department roster, including on-call as required.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures affecting medical imaging.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and EPA licence to use radiation (IA1).
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in a range of clinical settings, with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and practices.
