Career Path for a Graduate Civil Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the transport industry.

  • You will be working with an energetic and high-performing team, supporting the delivery of major rail projects and making a valued contribution to these projects.
  • Designing and optimizing track structures and alignments that power safe, efficient, and high-performance rail networks is a key responsibility of this position.
  • Understanding client and project technical requirements, assisting in the development of solutions, and contributing to technical reports, designs & specifications, proposals, and presentations are all crucial skills for success in this role.
  • Tackling complex challenges in special trackwork and transit space design, ensuring every curve, turnout, and crossover meets exacting standards is also a critical aspect of this job.

As part of our two-year Graduate Development Program, you'll get a broad look at the many career pathways available within our company.

Along the way, you'll have the chance to work in design teams, contribute to bids and tenders, and even get hands-on experience with occasional site work.

In your first year, we'll focus on the fundamentals of consulting to help you find your rhythm in the industry.

By year two, you'll have the flexibility to style your development, whether that's diving deeper into your technical development or soaking up wisdom from your mentors.
