Job Description

This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the work of four reference groups. Another key focus of this role will be supporting reference group members who live with intellectual disability or are young people.

The successful candidate will demonstrate capability including:

  • An understanding of lived experience and the disability sector, providing expert advice and strategic direction that is regarded as an authoritative source.
  • Experience in devising and implementing strategic advice expertise and research to continually improve the provision of Advice.
  • Experience in developing advice that considers work plans, corporate priorities, the disability system, and its mainstream interfaces.
  • Experience in managing strategic, advisory, or legislated relationships.
  • Ability to represent in high level discussions and negotiations with key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed, you will need:

  • An understanding of lived experience and the disability sector.
  • Experience providing expert advice and strategic direction that is regarded as an authoritative source.
  • Sound strategic understanding of those living with disability.
