We are looking for a skilled Management Systems Auditor to join our team at BSI.

Job Purpose

  • Conduct on-site audits against relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) or ESG, GHG, SRA, or related management system assessments.
  • Provide expertise, produce surveillance and initial audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions.
  • Promote BSI product offerings and solutions to clients to improve their business performance, manage risk, and achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Undertake management system audits in accordance with BSI requirements and Our Client Promise.
  • Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the audit decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frame.
  • Lead audit teams as required, ensuring team members are adequately briefed to maintain quality of service and effective working relationships with clients and within the team.
  • Establish and develop effective partnerships to secure commercial relationships and encourage opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure client records are up-to-date and complete, and all other internal information requirements are met.
  • Plan and schedule workloads to make the best use of own time and maximize revenue-earning activity.
  • Coach colleagues as appropriate, especially where those members are inexperienced assessors or unfamiliar with clients' business/technology, and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.
  • Maintain and develop auditor skills and technical and management system standards knowledge.
  • Provide technical support for sustainability projects/products, such as ISO14064, ISO14067, Green House Gas (GHG), Carbon Footprint, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and other relevant Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) based national and international standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in auditing organizations or products to evaluate their performance in relation to their sustainable development goals.
  • Provide technical support to clients through business development, sales, and customer service staff.
  • Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI, promoting BSI services to clients to optimize business performance.

Candidate Specification

  • Qualifications and/or experience in relevant industry or discipline and a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and systems.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards (preferred).
  • Auditor with ISO standard knowledge in ESG and GHG (preferred).
  • Experience with quality management and/or environmental/health & safety management (preferred).
  • External/Third-party management systems auditing experience (preferred).
  • Commercial understanding of industry compliance.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Be self-motivated, flexible, and have excellent time management/planning skills.
  • Can work under pressure.
  • Willing to travel on business intensively.
  • An enthusiastic and committed team player.
  • Good public speaking and business development skills will be considered advantageous.

Key Performance Indicators and Our Client Promise

  • Be the BSI Brand Ambassador.
  • Work with scheduling & planning to ensure work is booked 3 to 6 months ahead, booking the next audit at the current audit if possible.
  • Produce high-quality, accurate, and professional client reports.
  • Complete client reports before leaving the site for 50% of audits or within 5 days of the audit end date for 100% of audits and upload the eReport.
  • Discuss Driving Force opportunities in relation to BSI products and services with clients, with 2 leads per month required to be entered into the Point Global system.
  • Be 100% productive and aim to exceed delivery target days per year.
  • Maintain and gain more T/P/I code – on your own development.
  • Be part of the BSI team.
  • Zero complaints from clients managed by you.
