We are seeking a Wildlife Field Operative to join our Central Queensland Wildlife team in Rockhampton on a casual basis.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, prioritises safety, and demonstrates situational awareness. This role requires determination and passion to achieve positive ecological outcomes.

This position involves assisting the Central Queensland Wildlife team in delivering projects, including:

  • threatened species surveys and monitoring
  • flying-fox management and monitoring
  • bird management and monitoring
  • pest animal management and monitoring
  • fauna spotter catching and wildlife relocation services.

This role offers a promising entry point into the environmental industry for those passionate about wildlife conservation and willing to gain valuable experience from experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Central Queensland Wildlife team in delivering projects
  • Contribute to threatened species surveys and monitoring
  • Participate in flying-fox management and monitoring
  • Collaborate with the team on bird management and monitoring
  • Support fauna spotter catching and wildlife relocation services

Requirements:

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
