Engineering Excellence Lead

Employment Hero seeks an exceptional Engineering Excellence Lead to spearhead our mission-critical payroll platform.

About the Role

This role is pivotal in accelerating our mission by delivering scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that impact customers' lives daily.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the scaling of our Payroll platform, ensuring uptime, performance, and exceeding documented SLAs.
  2. Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
  3. Team leadership and development, driving collaboration, growth, and high performance.
  4. Technical and domain expertise, engaging in deep discussions with stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder engagement, building trusted partnerships and driving platform excellence.
  6. Continuous improvement, identifying and implementing efficiency and quality improvements.

For this role, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in Senior Engineering Management, leading large geographically diverse teams.
  • A background in highly regulated or compliance-driven business environments.
  • Knowledge of and advocacy for Software Engineering best practices.
  • Experience working within high-growth and fast-moving environments, particularly SaaS products.
  • Ability to mentor team members and drive development and capabilities within the team.
  • Deep experience working with business stakeholders, developing strong trust and partnerships.
