Lobster Processing Assistant Job

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our Lobster Processing department on a casual employment basis.

  • Responsibilities include unloading lobster received from suppliers, grading lobster according to size and quality, monitoring tanks and reporting any problems relating to water quality, tank issues or low water levels.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for removing unsuitable lobsters, ensuring they are washed and cleaned, and wrapping and packing them to supervisor's direction.

To excel in this role, applicants must possess:

  • Reliability, work ethic and self-motivation;
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Flexibility, with a hands-on attitude and good physical fitness due to the demands of the job, including lifting and moving stock.

Eligible candidates must have:

  • Australian working rights;
  • Availability to start immediately;
  • Ability to provide two current references, undergo a police clearance check and attend a pre-employment medical assessment with drug and alcohol testing.
