Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Paper Mill Cleaner to join our team at Visy Pulp and Paper in Reservoir, Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to quality and hygiene standards. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mill.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and machinery to prevent contamination and maintain efficiency
  • Hosing, foaming, and scrubbing machines and floors to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Operating a forklift to empty rubbish bins and transport materials as needed
  • Assisting with the production floor cleaning within the mill to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Performing ad-hoc duties as directed by management to ensure the smooth operation of the mill


Requirements:



  • Experience in industrial cleaning and/or cleaning in a manufacturing environment (preferably in a paper mill or similar setting)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including manual handling during shift work
  • Ability to follow work instructions to meet quality and hygiene standards
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as a team and independently
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to adhering to OHS&E policies and procedures at all times
